So i am 22 years old in college and i feel i am not getting anywhere with my major(Engineering) My passion is Quarter horse racing and nothing would make me happier than training quarter horses (@ Los Alamitos) I grew up around horses so i didnt just wake up today wanting to train horses. I live in CA and my problem is that i dont know anybody at the race track. Every time i go to watch the races (@ LOS AL) i wish i was the trainer. What can i do? What can be the first steps to take? I’m currently studying for an equine degree so will have relevant experience, would I have to do some kind of course or just take a test, and where/how do you take this test? Or is it simply a case of applying?
