Bobby asked:
I just found out that I can get RFDTV on my cable I used to have it when I had the dish so I havent watched in about 2 years. My question is who are all these trainers having shows and making tons of money off of their so called natural horsemanship? People like Ray Ainsworth, Julie Goodnight, Ryan Gingerich, Leslie Lan, Parelli, Craig Cameron, and Clinton Anderson. Now I love Clinton Anderson, but my point is Ive been Training for over 28 years and non of this stuff is new to me, Weve been using these techniques forever. Every program that I watched followed with please buy my series of DVD’s Im thinking WOW these people are just making a killing with their products and peoples need to have special halters, lead ropes and whips…..jeez LOLOL I missed my calling.
Dragon eyes…..LOL you made me laugh, thanks

JJ asked: I need some more advise with training my horse. I can’t afford a trainer to help me. My horse has sort of “mixed personalities”. One day he will be lazy and I could do just about anything with him (except go outside, he freaks out when he is outside) and the next day he will be hyper and spooking at what I can tell is absolutely nothing. It is also very hard to get him soft with his head. I am going to try some Parelli and Clinton Anderson methods on him, but I was just wondering if there is any other thing I can to do make him relax and listen to me. It seems like it is a constant fight with him.
He is a 6 (almost 7) year old Foundation/ Appendix Quarter Horse gelding. I have been riding 10 years, so I know what I am doing I just need some help.
He does get turned out outside around 2-3 times a week and that is only because the barn is in the process of putting up more fencing, after that he will be out everyday. Like I said before, he is gelded. I mean riding, ground too, but mostly riding with the head and softness. He just got him shots and feet trimmed, its just his attitude. I just think he needs a alfa horse, maybe?

sierra k asked: Again with a foal…
I’m planning on using a Clinton Anderson methods, working with foals, weanlings and yearlings, after that though, what age could I start moving on with his other videos? like at 1 1/2 or 2?
I’m probably going to be getting a yearling soon, and he hasn’t had a whole lot of training, but he’s pretty gentle.. I was just curious at about what age could I start moving on with his training?
